Former Kansas men’s basketball player Zeke Mayo made the most of his limited minutes for the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks in the just-completed Salt Lake City summer league.

Mayo, a 6-foot-4, 23-year-old guard — who played for the Cleveland Charge in the G League during the 2025-26 season — scored 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting while playing 14 minutes in Atlanta’s 96-82 victory over Memphis on Tuesday in the Hawks’ third and final game of league play at Huntsman Center in Utah.

Mayo — he played three seasons at South Dakota State and one at KU — was 3 of 4 on 3-pointers on Tuesday. He also had two steals, one assist and no turnovers.

He did not play in the Hawks’ first two summer-league games in Utah. He was listed in the DNP/coaches decision category.

As an undrafted free agent, he averaged 8.2 points, 2.9 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 36 games for Cleveland of the G League last season. He averaged 21.4 minutes per contest while starting two games. Mayo scored 28 points against the Westchester Knicks in a game in March. He was 8 of 14 from 3-point range. He averaged 14.6 points and 4.8 rebounds his senior year at KU.

The Atlanta Hawks, who have not yet announced any cuts to the roster following the three games in Utah, are slated to open play in the Las Vegas summer league on Thursday against San Antonio in a 3:30 p.m. Central time tipoff at Thomas and Mack Center in Vegas.
