K-State ranked No. 24 in AP women’s basketball poll

Kansas State’s women’s basketball team is ranked No. 24 in the AP Top 25, the first time the Wildcats have been ranked since Jan. 16, 2012.

Kansas State beat Princeton 60-42 on Sunday and improved to 10-1, the third straight season K-State has been 10-1 for coach Jeff Mittie.

The Wildcats’ lone loss came against top-ranked Connecticut, 75-58 in Manhattan.

K-State received 71 points in the poll and was the fourth Big 12 team to appear behind Baylor (3), West Virginia (13) and Oklahoma (20).

K-State will conclude its non-conference schedule on Thursday at Northern Iowa.
