Opinion Line (Sept. 2)

Did you ever ask yourself, while using the self-service checkout at the store: “I wonder why people on welfare can’t find a job?”


Donald Trump is not flip-flopping on the immigration issue. He is collecting facts, considering options, and being open minded and flexible. This is what a thinking person does.


Trump reminds me of a relationship fueled with some type of addiction. He will say or do what is necessary to get him out of a situation, then the next day will forget what he said.


Benghazi, e-mails, Clinton Foundation, “pay to play,” lies and deceit. All these Clinton scandals make Watergate pale in comparison and make Richard Nixon look like a choirboy.


Trump is the only candidate who has the determination to control immigration, defend our borders, lower taxes and renegotiate trade deals to put America back to work again.


I can’t vote for Trump in good faith or out of hope for a better economy, nor can any God-fearing person.


So after eight years of President Obama, we are going to elect someone who plans to continue his policies and whom two-thirds of the population consider dishonest? The American public really aren’t very bright and deserve what they get.


Rather than what one writer thinks, the 48 percent happy with the Obama economy are investors like me who have seen our huge losses during the last year of President Bush become gains under Obama.


Wake up and see what is the real cause of the deterioration in this country. Another four years of the same will kill us.


I heard many parents say how excited they were for school to start and to finally get rid of their kids. If you can’t stand your own kids, please don’t expect the teachers to put up with them and teach them perfectly.


I have traveled down Amidon several times lately. I wish all our streets could be updated so nicely. Good job.
