Opinion Line (Feb. 13)

I am glad Gov. Sam Brownback repealed state employees’ anti-bias protection based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Alabama was starting to get a leg up on us.

Good for Brownback for rescinding Kathleen Sebelius’ wrong LGBT state provision. When Ted Cruz is elected president, he can rescind Obama’s executive orders. Like Rush Limbaugh says, “Elections have consequences.”

Russia, Nigeria, Egypt, Kansas – whenever a corrupt authoritarian regime runs into trouble, it tries to divert attention by whipping up the masses against gays and lesbians.

Kansas is way too preoccupied with technicalities. We fight like fourth-graders about stuff.

I know several blockheads who refuse to buckle up. The $10 fine is a joke to them. Increase the fine if that’s what it takes to pound some sense into their heads. Better to be a little dejected than ejected.

When did the length of your car become an acceptable following distance and space to merge into?
