We pay our taxes and yet the city parks are tremendously overgrown and have been for the past month. When will they be mowed? Is the grounds-keeping budget already depleted for the year?


The “fairly significant change” Intrust Bank Arena needs to make is to the horrible, uncomfortable seating. Who cares about the entrances?


Gov. Sam Brownback is like every 2-year-old who plays hide-and-seek with their hand over their eyes. He figures if he personally can’t see the misery his cuts are causing, then the misery must not exist.


Each time State Department officials attempt to support their position on the Iran nuclear agreement and the $400 million cash payout to Iran, it becomes more obvious that they are “liars for hire.”


When Donald Trump “apologized” for saying some nasty things in the past, was he being “sarcastic”?


Before measuring for drapes at the White House, Hillary Clinton better size up her honesty and ethical integrity.


Trump’s rearrangement of his campaign bosses is similar to the analogy “You can keep moving people in and out of the car, but as long as the drunk guy is driving it while blindfolded, the ride probably won’t get any smoother.”


Trump successfully read from a teleprompter for a week. Republicans went wild. Hilarious.


I’m sure Dennis Rader gets great satisfaction seeing his picture on the front page of the Sunday Eagle again. I wish The Eagle would stop providing that satisfaction.


Given that BTK is an egotistical monster, I have to wonder why the paper chose to feed the monster rather than ignore him.


This is one Wichitan who will not be buying the new BTK book. I don’t care where the proceeds are going.


When WSU basketball season tickets require a substantial donation to the Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization, in addition to the ticket price, the “donation” is, in fact, a part of the ticket price. A donation, by definition, is a gift.


Don’t be offended when you get honked at because you’re too busy lighting a cigarette or looking at your phone to keep your car in your own lane.


Police officers can’t give tickets for distracted drivers who are on the phone, texting or Googling, because every policemen I pass is doing the same thing.
