Ryan Lochte, U.S. Olympic swimmer, may have won a gold medal in Rio, but he is a big loser in the integrity lane of life.

Thank you, Ryan Lochte, for giving the rest of the world another reason to hate Americans.

Some drunk swimmer does something stupid and lies about it and it becomes worldwide news. Hillary Clinton lies in front of Congress and it doesn’t get near the coverage.

Our athletes who are embarrassing us and bringing shame to our country in Rio by being rude and coarse are certainly being politically incorrect. It’s the Donald Trump effect.

If I were Native-American, I would applaud Trump’s call for more vetting of immigrants – except it is 500 years too late.

Is Trump showing evidence of a Howard Beale personality (“I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!”)? Beale was, of course, quite mad. And is the GOP the “network” using Trump?

I think seeing Clinton’s complete medical report is more important than seeing Trump’s tax returns.

The Republican Party ought to throw in the towel now.

Ken Starr, the “Christian” prosecutor of Bill Clinton, is now the most famous enabler of sexual assaults at an alleged Christian university.

Gov. Sam Brownback should be forced to resign or be impeached. He foolishly, recklessly and irrationally continues to pursue his utterly failed economic experiment.

To the person who said that Jesus never spoke ill of gays: Buy a Bible. Stop trying to rationalize a sin God abhors.

As a long time Methodist, I will continue to support and pray for my church and its leadership. However, I find the church’s treatment of the Rev. Cynthia Meyer deplorable. Whatever happened to our good and merciful God?

I’ll be “dog gone.” All it took for the police to reverse its decisions regarding dog treats and photos was a petition and a group of complainers. Talk about the “tail wagging the dog.”
