Opinion Line Extra (Feb. 11)

My neighbors and I had better get a Kansas state income tax refund this year, or we are going to sue the state of Kansas for stealing our money and giving it to big business.

Why do education workers think they should never cut anything ever? Try working in the private sector, where 10 to 15 percent cuts are made all the time.

Just as with almost every single government entity, education wants a blank check. But at the end of the day it still would not be sufficient, and with no added value to society.

If high school seniors are required to study the Second Amendment, they’ll discover that the gun lobby and the Supreme Court have erased the half of it that says it is for a well regulated militia. We have one of those, called the National Guard.

If I hear the words “fair share” one more time I’m going to puke.

Gov. Sam Brownback is going to have to take off his shoes and socks to have enough digits to point at all of his supposed (but incorrect) causes of the state’s budget shortages.

Does anyone believe that Brownback actually thinks schools are “driving the state’s fiscal woes”? Did he attend public school at all while growing up? Did he go past sixth grade? Did he even reach sixth grade? I think I know why he wasn’t allowed to drive the combine.

Fred Phelps would be upset if he knew the Brownback cult has replaced his Westboro Baptist cult as the No.1 embarrassment of Kansas.

Regarding President Obama’s speech at the prayer breakfast: It was totally embarrassing. Why can he not say that we are at war with Islam?

These are not Obama-made problems in the Middle East. They are the result of Bush invading Iraq for no weapons of mass destruction.

Brian Williams, a legend in his own mind.

Why would any network return a known liar to a position at an on-air news desk? Who would be fool enough to watch?

How curious it is that one lie from a journalist will destroy their career, but politicians can lie almost daily without consequence.

If Brian Williams loses his broadcasting job for lying about getting shot at in Iraq, what about Hillary Clinton? Her wild lie fantasy about being shot at in Bosnia is only a resume enhancement to her Kool-Aid drinkers.

The current measles outbreak may be a sign of bad parenting, nothing more, nothing less.

I was shocked to hear that Radio Shack stores may close. I thought they went out of business years ago.
