Opinion Line (Feb. 11)

I am disgusted by President Obama bashing Christianity, especially at a prayer breakfast. He seems to be unable to recognize and acknowledge the current threat from violent factions of the Muslim faith.

I wonder if ISIS could have advanced as far as it has if the citizens of Iraq and Syria were able to own guns.

If you think community college is expensive now, wait till it’s free.

Remember, anyone running for an elected political office is automatically now a politician.

Dear Kansas and America: If it’s truly your desire to preserve, protect and defend a strong, substantial and vibrant middle class, then you must fearlessly and completely stop electing people to legislative and other higher offices whose sole objective in life is to eviscerate that concept from your reality.

If Gov. Sam Brownback raises cigarette taxes, I’ll end my retirement and start smuggling and selling cigarettes. See? Our governor is creating jobs in Kansas.

Brownback’s attempts to divert blame for the disastrous effects of his own policies have become absurd. First it was President Obama’s fault. In the past month it was first Santa Claus’ fault and now it’s a piano’s fault. The governor needs to look in the mirror before he opens his mouth again.

Put it together: 1. Move elections to November. 2. Make all local positions partisan. 3. Allow a straight-ticket vote. All of a sudden, Republicans hold every office.

Life is like your W-2: You always ask yourself, “Where did it all go?”

Government is the solution to anything as long as you don’t care about cost or quality.

If you never want to be a victim of “revenge porn,” then don’t let yourself be photographed or filmed in the first place. I would not allow my husband to film me, let alone a boyfriend. It’s not “victim blaming”; it’s exercising common sense in the first place.

Brian Williams’ credibility level is the same as Hillary Clinton’s credibility – zero.
