Why do socialists have garage sales? Since they think that what everyone else has belongs to them, why don’t they think that works the other way around?

“Kansans get 10 percent off every day for living here” (Aug. 12 Insight). Don’t let the governor know about this. He’ll take that extra money to balance the budget.

Trump should visit with Brownback and see how well tax cuts worked for Kansas.

Trickle-down economics does not work unless you’re rich. And I’m tired of cutting taxes being the No. 1 issue of Republicans.

“Trickle down” doesn’t work. “Starve the beast” doesn’t work. Both result in unsustainable deficit spending. We need real, rational fiscal policy in our government and not a bunch of false ideology.

When columnist Davis Merritt started talking about one of the parties offering an unfit candidate (Aug. 9 Opinion), I was certain he was speaking of Hillary Clinton. She’s the only one unfit to be president.

The media are so biased for Democrats that reporters actually applauded Hillary at a recent press event.

All Americans are supposed to be equal, right? So how is it moral to tax anyone with different percentages? Oops, I forgot – morality has flown out the window with the infestation of Democrats.

Hooray for the moderates in Kansas. We have a good start. Keep up the good work.

I am neither Democrat nor Republican. I am “oust the incumbent.”

I knew I was back in Kansas when I saw people leaving restaurants with toothpicks in their mouths.

I had a good meal at Neighbors. When I went to pay, I was told the bill was taken care of. Random acts of kindness. To whomever: Thank you.

Isn’t the giant statue overlooking Rio just the Brazilian version of the golden calf?

I guess “Play Angry” doesn’t work too well in Canada.
