Opinion Line Extra (Aug. 15)

Our Kansas members of Congress who offered only minimal verbal admonishment about Trump’s belittlement of the Muslim Gold Star family, and still endorse him, are an insult to all past and present members of the military.

It is just laughable, the spin that the Democrats can put on anything that comes out of Donald Trump’s mouth. Poor, ignorant fools don’t know how to function without it. Now they say Trump is advocating shooting their clueless candidate?

If, as one reader claimed, Hillary is the smartest person in the room, then we are in more trouble than I thought. She even “short-circuited” lying about her lies. I do not see how anyone could trust her.

It`s apparent that Hillary Clinton, though far from ideal, has far more intelligent people in her orbit, and access to the greatest minds on Earth. Her people are held by gravity. Trump’s people are held with vacuum. She impels; he sucks.

Neither presidential candidate is perfect, but Trump cannot be bought or bribed. He is not a career politician. He understands the complexities of the economy and respects the American worker. He knows how to negotiate. Time for a change.

Donald Trump would not know the truth if it bit him.

All the people who are so afraid of Hillary taking away their guns are the same people who believe Trump can build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico and that global warming is a hoax.

A corporation is more like a dictatorship than a democracy. We can hope we aren’t unleashing Donald the dictator. Are you willing to take that chance?

I’m going to vote for the presidential candidate whose party gets hacked the least by foreign countries.

Why are there so many middle-age homeless men?

With it now known for sure that someone with a phone can unlock, start and steal your fancy new vehicle, and not even be close to it if it’s “self-driving,” I’ll keep my old one. At least if they want it they have to work for it.

Archery, badminton, fencing, handball, golf, table tennis and trampoline are all summer Olympic events, but not baseball? You have got to be kidding me. I guess there have to be some sports thrown in that small countries might win. I’d rather see baseball.
