AT&T fined for “cramming.” Schlitterbahn has no federal regulations for safety. And Republicans want to do away with all regulations as unnecessary? Vote out the bums who are against regulations. They are not your friends nor mine.

I’m tired of people whining that the state should inspect amusement park rides. It authorized tens of thousands of people to drive motor vehicles who have no business driving. Do you really think it would do any better inspecting rides?

Obama’s Justice Department just released a scathing report on the Baltimore Police Department. You notice it never says anything scathing about criminals. That’s where the problem starts about 99 percent of the time.

Come November, voters have the opportunity to force Donald Trump to face what he has yet to face in his 70 years here on Earth: manhood.

I wave the white flag. The country I love is going, going, gone. Elect Hillary Clinton. Open the borders to everyone. Abort anyone. Let all vote. Borrow jillions. Who cares now? It’s too late. It’s all lost anyway.

Davis Merritt’s Tuesday column was right-on. We will be one sick nation if Trump is our president. I’ve already had nightmares in which I’ve prayed, “Please, Lord, don’t let my wife or any of my friends know I voted for Hillary.”

Thank goodness we have such insightful intellects as Davis Merritt to pass judgment on Trump’s qualifications to be president. How did the republic ever survive until he came along to tell us how to vote?

To the person who compared Alex Rodriguez to Trump: I spent a couple of hours on a plane with A-Rod. You won’t meet a nicer person. Don’t comment about what you don’t know. You’ve never been under that kind of pressure.

The government determined seniors deserved no raise in their Social Security for 2016 and an average monthly increase of $2.50 for 2017. So why increase the salary of any government employee at any level for 2017?

Doesn’t it seem a little sad that small acts of kindness are so rare that they make the paper? Young and old, let’s follow the young man’s example given in Thursday’s letters to the editor.
