Opinion Line Extra (Aug. 6)

Donald Trump has already shown himself impeachable on many counts, starting with espousing war crimes of torture and on to promising actions that only an ironfisted dictator could carry out. Why wait?


The “D” behind Hilary Clinton’s name stands for “dishonest.”


After watching the Democratic convention, I realize that in spite of the many problems facing our nation, we Americans are a lucky throng, with many new innovations to help make life ever better for our children.


After spending eight years making America weak and pathetic to the world, now Democrats want to portray themselves as patriotic. What a joke.


Donald Trump has already committed immense damage to America, and to decent people here and abroad. When will you who are under his spell see that and stop worshipping him?


No, I wouldn’t be “afraid” to have my tax information made public. I’d be offended, as it’s not the public’s business.


If Clinton or any Democrat had publicly called for Russia to hack into the Republicans’ computers, Republicans would be raising charges of treason or at least calling them traitors to our democracy. But Trump gets a pass.


The last thing we need is a president who talks tongue in cheek and flippantly about important matters or who threatens to hit people. This sophomoric behavior is about as far from presidential as a candidate can get.


The Republican Party has had eight years to get its act together. We get Mitt Romney and Donald Trump – pitiful.


We don’t need more foreign workers to fill labor shortages. What we need are young people who feel they are owed a free college education to take these jobs and work their way through college, just like the millions who already have. Stop listening to the Democratic Party.


Don’t knock George Bush’s response to the Great Recession. He signed TARP and saved the banking system. Bush implemented the first stimulus package and Detroit auto bailout. His decisions turned the economy around before Obama’s programs took effect.


How much has the Secretary of State Kris Kobach cost the state of Kansas? He shows what a great Republican state it truly is.
