Kansans spoke loud and clear at the voting booth. If you are an ultraconservative, Brownback-loving politician, your services are no longer needed in our state. Sedgwick County voters also made clear that we want judges with high moral standards.


Judging by some who won or, more precisely, didn’t win the primary this week, it seems many people are easily herded.


Ah, elections in Kansas, where we all get to choose which pro-life conservative represents us in government.


“Give me, give me, give me,” all the special-interest groups holler. So the ill-informed vote away more of your hard-earned dollar.


County Commission meetings just won’t be the same without Karl Peterjohn. And that’s a good thing.

If you’re going to pander for money with a cardboard sign saying you’re homeless, you’d better not look freshly showered and be wearing a nice white shirt.


We babysat our great-grandson recently. He dirtied two diapers. We took them to our Wal-Mart parking lot for recycling, as it seems like that’s where dirty diapers go.
