Opinion Line (July 29)

Am I the only one who feels shortchanged when it comes to voting choices for president? I’m considering writing in the guy from My Pillow.

Right wing or left wing? Democrat? Republican? Pick your evil, please.

If Donald Trump can run this country half as well as he has raised children, he has my vote.

Trump obviously believes in traditional marriage: He’s had three of them.

The only change Hillary Clinton is for is in her own bank account.

Hillary Clinton, during four years as secretary of state, made diplomatic calls to a record 112 countries. She used poor judgment with her e-mail account and the GOP wants to put her in jail.

Clinton’s vice presidential pick looks like the floral clerk at my grocery store. ISIS must be scared to death.

Hillary and the supporting media went all gaga over the fact that vice presidential hopeful Tim Kaine speaks fluent Spanish. I speak fluent Spanish, but I still believe in national sovereignty, the rule of law and integrity.

The difference between Trump and Putin is about 10 1/2 hours by air.

The news about Kansas government’s fiscal woes isn’t all bad, as three states have worse credit ratings. The governor and his legislative allies still have a couple of years to use the state airplane for ball game excursions while searching for financial rock bottom.

It’s a shame there are few, if any, conservative political scientists at Kansas universities any longer. It would be a welcome relief to read guest columns in The Eagle from Kansas academicians who do not have liberal points of view.

Hats off to the person who funded the planting of trees in the Wichita parks – a wonderful gift to the city.

The grass clippings that your lawn mower spews into the gutter are not the city’s responsibility. It all came from your yard, and you are responsible for cleaning it up. If you’re not a slob, then prove it.
