Opinion Line Extra (July 27)

The reason the Democrats thought Trump’s speech was so scary is because he told the truth, which we have not heard from Obama or Hillary for the past eight years. They can’t handle the truth.

Trump says he will speak for us. But he doesn’t listen to us to know what to say. He must be omniscient.

So Clinton wants to change the gun laws for honest, law-abiding citizens? Then she needs to give up her gun-laden security details that protect her, and rely on the local police and sheriff patrols, as average citizens across this country are supposed to do.

Why does anyone think that Hillary Clinton had anything to do with Benghazi? Most of the fighting took place at the CIA annex. It was obviously a CIA operation. Clinton probably found out about it like I did, on CNN.

To those acting as if Hillary has been exonerated: The FBI all but stated that she in fact did all of which she was accused. It just isn’t going to charge her for anything for some – ahem – mysterious reasons.

Trump tweets an unflattering picture of Ted Cruz’s wife, perpetrates a vile rumor that Cruz’s father was involved in JFK’s assassination, labels Cruz “Lying Ted.” And when Cruz won’t endorse him, Trump and Republicans are upset with Cruz? Some Republicans have lost their minds.

Oh, boy – I can just imagine what the Republicans would have done if Michelle Obama had plagiarized her speech. But since it was Melania Trump the model, it was OK.

With the latest e-mail scandal, this one to bring down Bernie Sanders, it couldn’t be more obvious the Democrats don’t believe in democracy, just dishonest and criminal behavior.

They couldn’t have undermined Sanders’ credibility because he’d have to have had credibility to start with.

I’ll never be a politician. Here’s why: I don’t talk fast enough, I let people finish talking instead of interrupting, and I listen to what others have to say.

If you want to hear some real gibberish, ask your avowed “right to life” state legislator why he voted against expanding Medicaid to aid needy Kansans and getting some of our tax dollars back into the state.

Another way to look at the Brownback refusal to expand Medicaid: We Kansans pay taxes to support other states’ Medicaid programs. How about bringing our own tax dollars back to us?
