It’s called the Sedgwick County Zoo, not the Zoological Society Zoo. The county commissioners have every right to be more involved in how taxpayer money is spent.
We are holding off on making a planned donation to the zoo. If the county commissioners get more involved in its management, we will not aid and abet them in their stupidity. They would ruin the best attraction Wichita has.
The Zoological Society is under contract to the county. County taxpayers contribute 40 percent of the zoo’s annual budget. I want county commissioners to have more than a 10 percent say over the zoo, or else terminate the contract and find a group more reasonable.

Suellentrop must really be scared he will not get elected to the Senate, as I get daily mailings about why I should vote for him.
Carolyn McGinn is a RINO’s RINO.
I’m tired of left-wingers saying that Trump has no experience when we have had the rank amateur hour for the past eight years. Give me a break.
Nothing demonstrated the maturity of the Republican Party better than George Bush dancing at the memorial service for the slain Dallas police officers.
Obama and leaders of other countries who are letting in refugees, with little screening, have opened the gates of hell.
My late husband was a patient at the VA hospice unit, and our family cannot express enough appreciation for the wonderful care and attention he was given with so much compassion, including to us.
