Opinion Line Extra (July 21)

I’m tired of movies that are good until the end and then turn out to be a dud. And it’s because they want to set us up for a sequel.

There have always been stupid people. The problem is now we elect them to office.

The correct place to “protest” is in the voting booth, period. If you are in the street shouting and poking bullhorns in officers’ faces, you are a public nuisance and disturbing the peace, and you belong in jail with heavy fines.

It sounds like Obama and Hillary both want to declare martial law to try to disarm law-abiding people and take the country over. They just keep adding fuel to the fire.

I know why the schools in Wichita need more money. It is because of the illegal immigrant children getting free tuition in our schools.

Just like an ancient Chinese emperor, Gov. Sam Brownback is practicing the art of “lingchi.” His agenda of “death by a thousand cuts” has almost killed Kansas.

How sad that several of my grandchildren can’t read the Declaration of Independence. Many school districts think it isn’t important to be able to read or write in cursive, so they don’t teach it anymore. I wonder how these children “write their names.”

Everybody is born a socialist, until “they” come and start taking away the stuff you’ve worked so diligently for. Then you have a choice. Become a slave to the state. Or fight back. This choice may loom not for the boomers – we’re just about done – but for the youngsters.

It’s not Melania Trump’s fault, or the campaign’s, that she plagiarized some of the first lady’s 2008 speech. It was Michelle Obama’s fault for giving the speech before Melania had the chance to give her version.

I’m so glad to see the Democrats and Republicans cooperating, but, really, Michelle helping Melania write her speech is almost too much.

The level of corruption evident in Bill Clinton meeting with Loretta Lynch days before it was announced she won’t face any charges is beyond anything I’ve ever witnessed in American government. The end for the elite ruling class is nigh.

Republicans didn’t create Hillary’s e-mail scandal. Hillary Clinton did.

Yes, sending e-mails from a home server was a lapse in judgment, but hardly worthy of indictment. But then if every politician was indicted on an occasional mistake, Washington would be empty. Now let’s get on with defeating the poster boy for lapses in judgment, Donald Trump.
