Donald Trump’s immediate reaction to the tragedy in Nice, France, “This is war,” gives new meaning to the phrase “knee jerk.”


After the killings in Nice, France, I have to admit that civilized peoples are at war defending ourselves against radical Islam. I’m too old to pick up a gun, but I can help vote in the best party to defeat the threat. I will vote Trump.


Tell me again that bedtime story about how much safer the world has become under President Obama’s watch.


Finally Obama did something right militarily by leaving a sizable U.S. force in Afghanistan and not abandoning that country to the Taliban and ISIS.


So a guy posts that he will not go to a restaurant because it is owned by a Muslim. Instead of ignoring it, The Eagle makes it front-page news. How irresponsible to poke already estranged relations.


We have never been to Le Monde but have heard that the food is very good. After the post on Facebook, we will be going there soon. It could not have paid for better advertising.


Who sparked the intolerance regarding Le Monde restaurant? That would be County Commissioner Karl Peterjohn. Without his “people named Muhammad” rant, it never would have happened.


Thanks to all the cops who put their lives on the line every day for my safety and everybody else’s.


When I read the positions of those Republicans campaigning for legislative office, I get a sense that nothing will really change in Topeka with this election.


If the business tax cuts are repealed, I as a business owner will raise my rates and prices to you, the consumer.


I read about Phil Ruffin buying the Hyatt Regency Wichita for $20 million. Too bad the religious paranoids voted against a casino and caused the closing of the dog track. Ruffin is a genius.


As Boeing celebrates 100 years, it should be acknowledged that Boeing Wichita was successfully here for 87 of them. It can be argued that Boeing should have never left. You didn’t see Ford divest the Mustang like Boeing did the 737.


How come after 40 years, when you meet your former classmates you revert to an immature teenager? Some things lurk deep inside that only they can discover.
