Opinion Line Extra (July 13)
I recall the pro-gambling nuts told us if Kansas had gambling, all the state’s money problems would be solved. Well, we have gambling but are worse off now than we ever were. How about more gambling? That will fix us, right?
Amazing how some people who preach tolerance are most intolerant of others. Yes, I am speaking of liberals.
Not having been able to dictate to Americans through the use of class differences, the conservatives seek to divide us by race yet again. Prepare for a fascist police state. If we allow ourselves to be divided, we all lose.
President Obama has given our nation bigger government, less individual freedom, crippling debt, a bloated bureaucracy and leaves us facing a strengthened ISIS. If we elect Hillary, we face more of the same.
An upstart senator from Illinois said he had a better plan for handling terrorism. Follow me, and I will soothe the hostiles with the power of my voice, he said. We followed, but learned he was just a talker who would rather play golf and vacation than solve man-sized problems.
Paul Ryan and his fellow Republicans have ignored the will of the people long enough. Time for Democrats to return the people’s House to the people.
No organization does more to encourage, promote and take action for responsible gun ownership and gun safety than the National Rifle Association. Its demonization by leftist parrots is unfounded and unwarranted.
A ban on assault weapons would likely prevent 90 percent of the mass shootings. People who are mentally ill use the weapons that are readily available to them and do not have the time, patience or skill necessary to make or acquire such weapons on their own.
The only thing appealing about Trump’s rhetoric is helping to create jobs for the middle class. However, with all of the lies he has said about everything else, shouldn’t we consider this one as well?
Regardless of whether Hillary Clinton broke the law or not, she’s still a fool considering the e-mail scandal. She’s unqualified to be president. You should realize that, whether you’re on the right or the left of the aisle.
Say “no” to Clinton (evil) and “no” to Trump (trusting in the arm of flesh). Do not vote this way just because they may be on the ballot. Please go to the polls and write in the name Ted Cruz.
