Let’s build a wall around Donald Trump. It would at least hide our embarrassment.

Once again the Clintons have flipped off the country.

There are two words missing in the Clintons’ political playbook – integrity and character.

Kudos to Canada for its response to refugees. Sure puts the U.S. to shame.

The state budget agreement to keep schools open was another win for lawyers – both trial and judges. The losers are the taxpayers. We are teaching children: If you don’t get all you want, don’t tighten your belts and make do, just sue.

I will vote “no” on retaining the four Kansas Supreme Court justices, not only because their Carr brothers decision was overturned 8-1 by the U.S. Supreme Court but also for their overreach and childish, irresponsible behavior on the school budget issues.

Watching owners leave their $800,000 homes at Grand Lake for their boats, I knew they all had one thing in common: All were once students. And yet I’m sure that none of these homes is owned by a teacher. Boy, did I pick the wrong profession, especially in Brownbackville.

If Gov. Sam Brownback can fly his family to Memphis for the Liberty Bowl for $1,251, Beechcraft had better gear up. We are all going to be trading in the family sedan for a King Air. The Enron accountants running our state budget need their heads examined.

If Kris Kobach does not pay back the money that was spent on his use of the state’s aircraft, he should not be allowed to vote.

I just read the statements from the Republican candidates for state Senate District 25. Um – can we have Michael O’Donnell back?

Fireworks scare the animals and last forever. Does calling the nonemergency number solve the problem? No, but it gives us something to do until it’s over.

I read the article about what irks Wichita servers (June 26 Arts & Culture) with dread, fearing complaints about people ordering gluten-free food. This is a medical diet for most of us. I thank the majority of staff for their kindness and accuracy.

Why don’t waiters ask how a ticket should be written up when serving a table of three couples? Do they really think one person wants to pay the tab for all?

Being the same as everyone else with tattoos, piercings, Crayola hair and ear stretching makes you nobody.

People who use the hashtag “HoldMyBeerWatchThis” should not be allowed to have fireworks.
