Pity poor Mike Pompeo. He has to put away his matches now that Hillary won’t be tied to a stake over that witch hunt they called an e-mail scandal.
Democrats refer to congressional investigations of Hillary as “witch hunts.” Kind of a bad term, isn’t it?
It appears that Bill Clinton’s meeting with Loretta Lynch went very well. Sad day for the United States when people with no ethics such as Obama, the Clintons and Lynch can circumvent our laws.
I had respect for the FBI. However, after watching James Comey, I have lost most all confidence in our government. The only arm of the government that works properly is our military.
I have never seen The Eagle editorial board mention Obama’s misuse of Air Force One or all the unnecessary trips his wife, kids and mother-in-law have made on it. What Kris Kobach did with the state plane is a pittance compared with that (July 7 Eagle Editorial).
In Kansas, 240 years after the Declaration of Independence, our tyrannical governor covets the power to make “Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices.”
After reading how expanding Medicaid helped Colorado, I can’t help but wonder how many lives would have been saved and how much the Kansas economy and tax revenue would have improved if our politicians had been as wise.
The Kansas legislators who are also small-business owners should recuse themselves from any vote on keeping the tax breaks for small-business owners. This is a serious conflict of interest.
The Kansas economy shrank in three of four quarters in 2015. Reinstituting state income taxes on small businesses might throw us into a single-state recession.
The American dream has been repossessed.
I propose that all fireworks displays by private people be held in designated locations, and that it be illegal for any fireworks to be set off in any private neighborhood. I had to keep the hose handy for the fireworks trash that landed on my roof, trees and bushes.
So when do the people who spread their fireworks trash all over come out and pick it up?
