Opinion Line (Feb. 1)

Every body of water in and around Wichita is being polluted by the massive overpopulation of Canada geese. It’s time for Kansas wildlife officials to get control of these “sky carp.” Perhaps special hunts could be organized to furnish roast goose for the homeless and persons on welfare.

Calling all marijuana smokers to come out by the thousands and vote. This is our moment in history in Kansas to take the first step in heading the right way for the reform of marijuana laws.

Give an inch, they’ll take a mile. This is the first inch the marijuana group is trying to take with this petition on the ballot for a lessened crime. Keep the crime out of Kansas. Vote “no” to marijuana.

With the city attempting to decriminalize marijuana and the awarding of a new Air Force One contract to Boeing, the company is probably glad it left town. Nothing worse than having an impaired person building something the president’s life depends on.

Thanks to the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on no limit on campaign funding, the Koch brothers can now buy any federal election they want.

The Koch brothers plan to spend $900 million on the 2016 elections? Could someone send me Charles Koch’s contact information so I can negotiate what I will take for my vote?

How great that the Kochs love our country and freedom so much that they will contribute to 2016. Bravo. Now, can we please have an accounting of George Soros’ contributions to all of his left-wing connections?

I would like to know, down to the last rut in the road, exactly what the ideal state, the rich man’s utopia, looks like to Grover Norquist and Americans for Prosperity (aka Charles Koch). Remember: the key is virtually no funding.

So the governor wants to use tax breaks and paid-off student loans to manipulate people into moving into urban areas, as he did for rural areas. Soon he’ll have to pay people to keep them from leaving the state. Why should taxpayers have to subsidize this program?

Thirty-six states and the District of Columbia have same-sex “marriage,” but only three states redefined marriage at the ballot box. If liberals honestly believe Americans – millions of whom turned out to protect natural marriage in law – will stand by while the courts silence their voice, they’re mistaken.

Building the new Southeast High School without a football stadium: the inhumanity of it all.

The Super Bowl game will feature two coaches who are cheaters: Pete Carroll for recruiting violations at USC and Bill Belichick in the pros for stealing an opposing team’s signals. May the best cheater win.

If the New England Patriots win the Super Bowl, will their trophy be topped with a deflated football?

The Super Bowl is coming. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel a man wearing a helmet defending his country should make a lot more money than a man wearing a helmet defending a football.
