Opinion Line Extra (July 3)

I’ve got a great idea for how Trump supporters and conservatives can show their patriotism, stick it to China, and let my family get some sleep this Independence Day weekend: Only buy and shoot American-made fireworks. USA! USA! Good luck, everyone.

I hope that the voters who went for George W. Bush because he was going to be tough on terrorists remember what they got: the Iraq War. Don’t vote for Trump for the same reason. He doesn’t know where to find them any more than Bush did.

Nothing happened to Hillary Clinton after Benghazi. Why do you think she will be in trouble now? The Clintons have a way of skating free of all their wrongdoing. But this was four Americans dead and she says, “What difference does it make?” Ask those parents, wives and children.

You know what they say: Better to be silent and thought a fool than admit you’re a Democrat and remove all doubt.

Fox News now has a brunette morning news anchor. I wonder if she will have to have a separate bathroom from the blondes and be able to join the military.

Do you think when Gov. Sam Brownback leaves office he will take responsibility for himself, and turn down his government pensions and free health care?

There must not be as much money in distracted driving (cellphones) as in DUIs, or maybe Wichita’s finest would go after them.
