Opinion Line Extra (June 30)

The executive officers of the NRA and their bootlickers in Congress are giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the country. They should be tried as traitors.

Hypocrisy defined: It is OK to infringe on the constitutional right to vote in elections but it is not OK to infringe on the right to purchase a gun. Everyone who wants to buy a gun must prove he is a citizen, the same way he does when he registers to vote.

We don’t need laws against gun ownership. We need laws against killing people. Oh, wait....

With all this “gun control” talk, I haven’t heard one politician say how he plans to take guns from criminals, just law-abiding citizens.

The gullible continue to repeat the tired old canard that Chicago has the strictest gun laws in the nation and hence the highest murder rate. Chicago is actually in line with other major cities on restrictions. To see what commonsense gun laws will do for a state, look to Hawaii.

Chicago’s gun laws don’t work because residents can take a short drive and legally obtain pretty much any gun they want and take it home.

Anyone who thinks ending the life of another human being is a God-given right is either delusional or trying to justify a past horrible mistake. What happened to “thou shall not kill”?

The killing of babies is “alive” and well in Texas, thanks to the vote of the U.S. Supreme Court. According to the signs being waved outside of the court, women know best where the decision of this controversy should fall. Well, nice job, ladies.

If you are bent on getting a woman president, don’t pick one who will give that gender a bad name.

What part of “coming here illegally is committing a crime here” does the president not get? If you are here illegally, your kids can’t possibly be here legally. All such persons, kids included, should be deported.

Now that Trump’s policies have proved toxic with general election voters, his campaign is attempting a policy stance comb-over. Sorry, but comb-overs have never worked for the Donald.

Is Trump running for office in Scotland or the USA?

I can’t stand the local advertisers that insist on wanting to see their kids on TV. With few exceptions, they don’t talk clearly enough to understand they’re saying. Remember, your kid is never as cute to everyone else as you think they are.
