The mess in Kansas is the best argument that Democrats have to show that Republican economic policies don’t work.
Maybe we should run the Kansas government via the judiciary. With public school closures, the state Supreme Court could accomplish in one decision what the Legislature couldn’t do in the entire session: solve the state budget crisis.
The Kansas legislators should not receive any pay for the special session.
Every cut in KanCare reimbursements to medical providers means fewer providers are willing to see KanCare patients. Eventually this will become critical.
The 4 percent reduction in Medicaid payments stems from the state income tax exemption for small businesses and LLCs. Most physicians in private practice in Kansas fall into this category. On the other hand, the hospital workers losing their jobs pay the income tax.
I want term limits. Please. No one is irreplaceable.
