Instead of voting on gun control, Congress should be voting on terrorist control.

On Sept. 11, box cutters were used to gain control of passenger planes and fly them into buildings. It boggles the mind to see people ranting about gun control, as if passing another law would actually stop terrorists from doing what terrorists do.

Anyone who would even suggest that people in a bar should be carrying guns is not fit to be elected president of the United States (or even a member of the Kansas Legislature).

Hillary Clinton’s failure as secretary of state is partially responsible for the Orlando murders at the Pulse nightclub. Blame her, not some gun manufacturer.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Republican Party.

When is County Commissioner Karl Peterjohn’s rant on people named “Omar” scheduled?

Perhaps the voters in Commissioner Tim Norton’s district would explain the logic in him insisting the county borrow money to pay for a project that could easily be paid for with cash. If they can’t, then they need to be wise and replace him.

By our county commissioners not accepting federal grants and subsidies, they are doing nothing more than giving our tax dollars to other states. Take it. It’s our money.

Thank you to Gov. Sam Brownback for lowering my business tax to zero. This Republican now has extra money to donate to Democrat candidates.

Watching the Wichita school board in action, it’s easy for me to see where young people get their sense of entitlement.

LeBron James was nothing short of remarkable playing his heart out in Game 7 of the NBA finals. He fulfilled his promise to Cleveland.

Congratulations to Cleveland. The biggest whiner in the NBA finally got it a championship.

Places like St. Louis, Cleveland, Cincinnati, New Orleans and Salt Lake City have major sports franchises of some sort. Wichita’s population is comparable to or larger than all of them. Why not Wichita?
