Wichita should have parking ticket writers like those in Detroit and Philadelphia. That would put some money in the budget.

Surely the venue in Orlando, Pulse, had a “no guns allowed” sign posted at the door. Like all idiotic liberal theology, that should have stopped the radical Islamist cold.

Gun control is not about guns. It is about control.

Now I know. Pass more gun-control legislation, and suddenly gangbangers in Chicago will stop killing. And jihadists will take a liking to Jews, Christians, gays and just about anyone else previously thought to be an infidel who needs to be killed. It is all so clear now.

Sen. John McCain said President Obama’s policies were responsible for the Orlando attack. That’s ridiculous. This all started when George W. Bush decided to invade Iraq under false pretenses, destabilizing the whole region.

The “comforter-in-chief” is anything but that in terms of national security.

I just read a book about the rise of Hitler in the 1920s and how he duped his followers by vowing to “make Germany great again,” and thought I was reading about Donald Trump. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Come on, Zogby poll, don’t get my hopes up that my Democratic vote for president might not be the exercise in futility it’s been for 40 years. In the end, you know the same people who voted for the clueless Brownback will not vote for someone as smart as Hillary.

In his ads, Rep. Tim Huelskamp brags that he “took on” Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Hillary is now poised to be the next president and Barack is retiring as one of our best presidents, so I guess they see the congressman in the rearview mirror.

Every time I open my bill from Westar Energy I am reminded of its rate increase – and wonder why it prints its bills and the envelopes in color. That small extra cost adds up, and I don’t like paying for it.
