Soldiers protect our country and our freedoms in times of war. Judges protect our freedoms from power-hungry politicians. Teachers provide us with a country that is worth protecting.
By what logic is spending by far the greatest portion of the state’s budget on education “unfair”?
It is despicable that Rep. John Whitmer and other lawmakers would stoop to blackmail to keep the schools open, on their terms, for the sole reason of getting back home in a hurry to “campaign.” Leave the bathroom issue in the toilet.
I’m sick and tired of Republican politicians offering their “thoughts and prayers” after yet another mass shooting. How about offering some meaningful gun legislation instead?
Calling for more gun control is an extremely simpleminded and ineffectual effort to stem what is a rising tide of jihadist violence. I like walls and immigration control.
So we could keep the Orlando murderer off an airplane, but we couldn’t keep him from buying guns. Thank you, NRA and gun lobby, for making our country so stupid.
By not using the term “radical Islam,” Obama does peaceful Muslims a terrible disservice. Obama continues to lump all Muslims together rather than segmenting the extremists who wish to harm people.
If you’re all so unhappy, maybe this freedom thing just isn’t working out.
I just finished a book about Bonnie and Clyde. It felt like I was reading about Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Is it even remotely possible, at this time in our country’s history, for someone to lie their way into the Oval Office, the most powerful position on the planet? Have we sunk to that level of dysfunction?
If I were to vote for a Republican presidential nominee, it would be based on hope, not fear.
