I can remember when having to choose between the lesser of two evils in an election was just a joke.
Anyone who votes for Hillary Clinton is without morals and ethics. She has more skeletons than a cemetery.
The Democrats made history again by electing the first woman as a presidential nominee, after electing the first black president. On the other hand, Republicans have a racist and a sexist as their presidential nominee.
The people who hail Hillary Clinton’s accomplishment as historically significant are the same people who could not wait to destroy Sarah Palin.
The real problem with the upcoming election is that one of them will win.
Trying to blame Kansas Supreme Court justices for the school closing crisis because they actually respect and uphold the Kansas Constitution is like blaming a police officer for attempting to prevent the actions of a bank robber.
Uh-oh. Sounds like our state legislators were out back sneaking a cigarette the day Supreme Court duties were explained in their Kansas government class.
The Sedgwick County commissioners say they should have more to say about zoo operations because they give money to the zoo. Then they say the federal government shouldn’t have anything to say about how they spend housing money they get from the federal government. Toto, we are definitely in Kansas.
If the zoo is so successful, why does it need our money? If it does, it needs county commissioners’ oversight.
What a shame that our county commissioners have no foresight. Now the Coliseum Pavilions are closing to events, and most of those events have nowhere to go. It affects eventgoers and area businesses. Selling the Coliseum was a bad idea. Not developing a replacement for the Pavilions was worse.
The new tag office looks good. Now if only the state would relocate its driver’s license office in the building. Make it a one-stop shop.
I need a tax break, just like Cargill. Let’s all threaten to leave town, as the Wichita City Council will eagerly give away the barn to all of us.
I predict that upon hearing “Fahrenheit 451” will be the Big Read selection during the month before the election, conservatives in local government will start talks on how to defund the library. It will be threatening to their desire for an uneducated populace.
