Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., said last month that Donald Trump needed to address the serious concerns he and other conservatives have about some of his positions and comments before Moran could support him. It’s unclear how Trump has done that, especially given his recent offensive comments about a federal judge. Nonetheless, Moran is now backing Trump, telling KNSS radio last week that the economy and country cannot afford four or eight more years of Obama-like policies. “I’m for Mr. Trump as opposed to Hillary Clinton,” Moran said. “That’s a pretty easy call for me.” – Phillip Brownlee
