Opinion Line Extra (June 7)

When Hillary Clinton runs her mouth trying to trash Donald Trump, she gets as much traction as if the Exxon Valdez spilled its load on the floor.

If Trump can’t handle the political press lambasting him, how can anyone expect him to take on Vladimir Putin?

Hillary Clinton is dishonest. She can’t be trusted.

I am so tired of Donald Trump whining about people not treating him fairly. He sounds like a grade school kid and not a presidential candidate. Surely he is not the best the GOP could offer to us.

Note to political candidates and voters: It is not good to brag that you are so conservative. The word “conservative” does not mean what it did 20 to 30 years ago. It once meant common sense. Now it’s an extremist who protects the rich and hates the rest, and takes away freedoms.

President Obama brags in Indiana about the brilliant job he has done with our economy. Two days later a horrid jobs report is released by the Labor Department. That is what happens when you throw our drowning economy the constant anchor of new regulations and mandates.

Now is the time for all of you tax lovers to send all of your money to the Kansas Department of Revenue. Pool your funds. Dig deep. Make up for all you believe was lost because of Brownback. If you do not send all of your money in, you are hypocrites.

There is one good thing about the job our state leaders have accomplished in the past five years. They have ensured this will be a blue state next election season. For this, I am thanking God.

I didn’t know people had males-only and females-only bathrooms in their homes. My family used the available bathroom. I wonder what they do on airplanes, trains or buses.

When someone is shot with a gun, the gun has to be involved. Pointing a finger at someone you don’t like and saying “bang” just doesn’t have the same effect. In other words, guns do kill people – many thousands per year in the USA.

What? They couldn’t contain that gorilla with a tranquilizer gun? Surely the zoo keeps one of those around, and I would hope much more openly than any gun with bullets.

Last time I checked, humans were not in danger of extinction. In nature, stupid is weeded out by killing stupid things. Gorillas, on the other hand, are rare and getting rarer all the time. And it’s stupid humans who win every unfortunate time.
