Why is it when there is rioting, looting, burning of police cars, injuring of police horses and officers, it is always being done by Democrats?

Stop being afraid of other races, other religions, other sexual preferences, other gender identities, other immigrants. You’re an American. Act like it.

If Mitt Romney has personal issues with Donald Trump, he should stop trying to drag the rest of America into it.

Dealing with Trump supporters now is just like dealing with Obama supporters in 2008. It absolutely does not matter what you say. Facts, reason and logic are completely irrelevant to these people.

I know how Trump can be defeated. Put him in a position where he has to kick a dog or a gorilla.

The Sedgwick County Zoo is a wonderful asset to the community. Why does the County Commission want to ruin it? Focus on what is wrong with the county and make it better.

Director Mark Reed and his board have made the zoo a premium place to visit. All the Sedgwick County commissioners can do is drag it down to nothing. Leave the zoo alone.

Rather than pay necessary taxes to fund a suitable public education as mandated by the Kansas Constitution, Kansas conservatives prefer schoolchildren wallow in ignorance. Thank goodness our Kansas Supreme Court cares about public education for kids.

So the courts have ruled the school block grants unconstitutional. Easy fix. Just go back to the old system. Yes, it’s more complicated, but this delicately balanced system was court-tested. E-mail your legislators now. Tell them to just do it.

City and county parks would be much more usable, and with fewer bugs, if the grass mowing schedule were upped a little.

Only five “worst spots for flooding in Wichita” (May 28 Eagle)? Frequent building and the runoff from that make non-flood areas hard to find. Money should have been collected for this type of repair. Was it spent elsewhere, for pet projects?
