Opinion Line Extra (May 30)

Kansas public schools could save a substantial sum of money if they only sponsored football, cross-country, basketball, and track and field as after-school sports activities.


Just how is government taking more of our money, taxes, and throwing it at moochers, illegals and stupid pet projects “reasonable” government? They sure aren’t spending it on infrastructure maintenance and defense. That would be reasonable, and doing their job.


So did Kansans for Life ask legislators if they would vote for having medical care for uninsured children? Oh, right. They are only for life if it is a fetus. After that, they don’t give a rat’s bottom. Better question: Do you believe the world is really round?


So Kris Kobach denies the right to vote to more than 18,000 Kansans because four people double-voted years ago. But take away the right to own a gun by convicted felons or mental health patients, and the ultraconservatives scream their heads off.


Nothing Hillary Clinton is proposing in the way of gun control will have any effect on gun violence. Many major cities are virtual war zones, and that won’t be stopped with additional background checks or magazine capacity limits.


Ask anyone who lived in and survived during the Clintons’ reign in Arkansas. Contrary to the media, Democrat and Clinton propaganda, they will tell you what a horrific mess they made of that state and the harm they did to its citizens.


I have never seen so much criminal activity surrounding a family as there is around Hillary and Bill Clinton. When is America going to say, “That is enough”?


President Obama, during his trip to Vietnam, ended our arms embargo against it. You know – that place we lost 58,000-plus service members. This is the same guy who wants to take away U.S. citizens’ guns. Trying to figure him out makes my head hurt.


Someone commented how dishonest and immoral Democrats were for switching parties to vote in the Republican primary. This was probably coming from someone who also thinks that Democrats won’t take the time to get proper IDs to vote and that gerrymandering by Republicans isn’t an issue.


Unfortunately, green-energy folks do not understand that not one wind-power generator has been capable of paying its initial cost or maintenance repair costs.


The Postal Service and Dillons did not have customer convenience and global warming in mind when they decided to drop the post offices from Dillons in Wichita.
