Opinion Line Extra (May 29)

While visiting Japan and supposedly representing all Americans, Barack Obama called Donald Trump ignorant. This is the same Barack Obama who claimed during his presidential campaign to have visited 57 states, with one to go. Who’s ignorant?

Those who said Obama was going to Japan to apologize for the atomic bombing: Show me the tape. You level accusations but don’t have the proof to back up your quotes.

Donald Trump is not even as qualified as Sarah Palin for elective office. At least she had two years in office before she pulled the pin and deserted it. Trump equals zero public service.

Trump says environmentalists are costing California jobs. He is right. Despite calling themselves progressives, they seek to block any progress. It does not matter how many people it will hurt or jobs it will cost. It seems more like they are doing it just to prove they can.

I don’t want to see Trump’s taxes, just as I don’t want anyone to see mine. It’s not anyone’s business.

When Obama chides Trump for his inexperience, why doesn’t any media person ask him if it’s any different from his own inexperience in 2008?

I got another e-mail claiming Obama and CIA Director John Brennan are Muslim. The only real conspiracy going on is the forwarding of these blatantly false e-mails by clueless individuals.

Bernie Sanders followers: Have you noticed how well socialism is working in Venezuela?

I cringe whenever someone suggests that a one- or two-year term of military service should be required. That kind of thinking is best left to European socialists or, better yet, communists. We’re a free country, remember? Or at least we’re supposed to be.

House Speaker Ray Merrick “does not want to stand by while Kansas children are used as pawns in a social engineering experiment.” But he was absolutely pivotal in that failed financial experiment performed on all Kansans: “a shot of adrenaline to the economy.”

The caliber of our leadership in Topeka was exposed when they came up with the ludicrous notion that our college students should be free to carry not only books to class but loaded guns as well. It will be another sad day in Kansas when the law takes effect next year.

Not sure why I am expected to tip you for doing your job. No one tips me for doing my job.

I have decided to start a small business. We will only manufacture little bitty stuff.
