Martin Luther King Jr. Day, like Columbus, Presidents and Veterans days, is a holiday where those of us in the private sector work and pay for the pensions of those in the public sector who are taking the day off.

Racism – like pornography and loud, obnoxious music – usually damages the person who practices it more than those who know him. You may not think you are a racist, but it shows. We know.

Something is seriously wrong with a country where a movie about a guy who kills 160 people and is called a hero attracts more viewers than one that depicts nonviolent protests for social justice by a Christian minister.

There is nothing Christian or moral about current Republican ideology.

If the use of steroids is cheating in baseball, what is intentionally deflating the balls in football called?

Don’t you think it’s time the NFL paid taxes?
