Could the Trump protesters take a cue from the pro-life protesters and remain peaceful?
When someone carries a country’s flag in protest, it means the person prefers the land they are standing on to be controlled by that country. I can understand why many Americans want to send the illegals back to Mexico. Those carrying the American flag can stay.
Trump does so well in polls because he speaks fluent moron.
Heard enough, seen enough. I’ve made up my mind. See you in November.
The three Sedgwick County commissioners must be planning to end the zoo contract. Why else would they delay the vote until a week after the November election, when Commissioner Karl Peterjohn will be on the ballot? The voters are not that stupid. Elections matter.
Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus ended its elephant act after 145 years, but not the Sedgwick County Zoo.

Before you call Gov. Sam Brownback a hypocrite for saying there is federal overreach as he is taking back power from local governments, you might read the U.S. and Kansas constitutions.
It takes real character to admit a mistake. I don’t see any in Topeka.
I would like to know if there is any evidence that would cause Brownback and his Legislature to realize that their current course of action is not working. I think it’s more like a religion to them, and no facts or data will change their minds.
A letter writer informed us The Eagle is doing the work of the devil and will be condemned to hell. Now that corporations are people, maybe they can be judged after “death,” but I don’t quite see how.
The Eagle is going to hell? When? All employees or just executives? The Eagle readers, too? If I end up in hell, I’m definitely suing.
The storms rolled through Tuesday night, bringing with them some hail. Since I was out of spare change, I can’t really tell you how big it was.
