It truly is laughable to hear Hillary Clinton claim she will reduce gun violence with more laws restricting legal gun owners.

Donald Trump’s assertion that Clinton would abolish the Second Amendment shows what an uninformed fearmonger he is. A president cannot make any gun control laws, and only Congress and the states can repeal an amendment.

Trump may espouse a “hateful” rhetoric, but that’s all it is – rhetoric. Clinton has a proven track record of unethical behavior stemming all the way from Watergate to being a sociopathic liar (Benghazi) and demonstrating cover-ups with her e-mail fiasco. Which is worse?

Hillary Clinton’s pantsuits are disgusting. That’s all.

In about the sixth year, you get tired of seeing the president. Presidential fatigue sets in. I am tired of Hillary and Donald already.

I keep hearing the motto “Make America Great Again.” It sure wasn’t as great under the Bushes as it was during the Clinton and Obama administrations.

Many conservative “pundits” share the blame for foisting the clown on us, just as the corrupt media did in 2008. Fox News, the Drudge Report, Ben Carson, Laura Ingraham, Sarah Palin, Bill O’Reilly, Ann Coulter and especially Sean Hannity sold out conservatism and sold out America.

One thing is absolutely certain: There is a 100 percent chance of war if a Republican wins the White House and zero chance a U.S. congressman’s child or grandchild will be militarily active in it.

I am saddened that because of the Electoral College, my non-Republican vote for president will seemingly never matter in Kansas.

I hope I can rely on the post office to ensure my mail has only been handled by a carrier who has used the appropriate bathroom, and the grocery store only allows appropriate restroom-using associates to handle the apples and bananas. I also hope America wakes up and worries about real issues.

The tragic thing about the state cuts to higher education and Medicaid is that all of this is completely avoidable if Brownback and the Legislature would just have the 330,000 businesses pay their fair share of income taxes, and stop pouting and accept the federal Medicaid expansion.

So students who can’t afford their college tuition, and those who want free college, could afford $3-and-up cups of coffee if a Starbucks came to the WSU campus? Well, I guess so.

I saw someone buying ice cream made by a company that knowingly made contaminated products that could and did make people sick and kill them. I guess there’s no accounting for stupidity.
