Opinion Line Extra (May 24)

As a member of the LGBTQH community, I am greatly offended by the continual addition of letters to our acronym.

If conservative people didn’t do so much complaining about nursing mothers and transgender people, etc., we wouldn’t need so many rooms. Why can’t conservatives just accept responsibility?

If transgender people were using restrooms of their choice in the past and nobody noticed, why are they making such an issue of it now? Does “agenda” come to mind? It’ll be interesting to see what the sexually confused demand next.

I have to wonder what people are smoking to believe that the Democratic Party stands for the poor, the middle class, women and minorities. Wow. What’s it like to live in fairyland?

Some suggest we are in a mess because of President Obama. What? From the brink of another Great Depression to 5.5 percent unemployment, from a 6,600 stock market to 18,000. Just the facts, folks.

London electing a Muslim mayor is exactly why Donald Trump should be elected president here.

Don’t be outraged by Trump’s rhetoric. Be outraged by America’s ignorance.

Why can’t Trump act like a responsible adult instead of like a misinformed teenager?

When “Obamacare” was being proposed and approved by Congress, the Republicans screamed bloody murder about “death panels” making decisions on your health care. Now, Republican Gov. Sam Brownback has initiated his own version with all his cuts to social programs.

I hope ol’ Brownback ruins our state even further. All I can say is: Ha-ha-ha! You voted for him. Don’t worry. Come election time, the rubber-stampers in Topeka will find a bogeyman to hate and take your mind off of them. Ha-ha-ha! Re-elect them.

Regarding a comment about the Sedgwick County commissioners’ pay: I have often thought there is something very wrong with this. It is time to pay Wichita City Council members more than $40,000 annually and, without question, school board members should be paid.

If you appear to be an adult human who starts filling your plate at a food bar but while waiting to reach the end shovels food into your mouth as fast as possible, we need to hunt your parents down and slap them for their obvious failure.

I appreciate our weather forecasters, and would hope that in the future they would describe our beautiful Kansas days, when we have them, using the phrases “beautiful Kansas,” “great Kansas,” “another great Kansas day,” etc., as it would be great for the Kansas economy.
