Gov. Sam Brownback should be forced to live on welfare and food stamps for the rest of his term.
Considering all of the cuts they’ve made to education, health and assistance programs, it’s obvious Brownback and the Kansas Legislature only respect life when it’s in the womb.
Truly believe schools don’t have enough money? Then do your part to stop educating people in this country illegally. Stop allowing schools to be what they were never meant to be – quasi-training centers for private business – and there will be more than enough money.
How many of the health care providers who will get reduced Medicaid reimbursements in order to close the state’s budget deficit are LLCs that got the tax break that created the budget mess in the first place?
It is time someone put restrictions on Medicaid patients. People who pay for health insurance have to fight for what they deserve and are paying to get. Medicaid patients get whatever they want (and I pay for their handouts). This has to stop. Be responsible for your own health status.
Dennis Rader was a public employee. I wonder if Sen. Forrest Knox would like an armed Dennis Rader in his home (“Law: Public employees can carry guns on duty,” May 14 Eagle).
Under the law allowing public employees to carry guns at work, the workers should have to pass background checks and prove annually they can use a weapon safely. I want to know that I will not be in danger when public workers come to my house.
Wichita attorney F. James Robinson Jr. missed the point in “Judges must not rule based on public opinion” (May 15 Opinion). The problem with judges is that they rule based on their own opinion. They do not want capital punishment, so there is no capital punishment in Kansas despite public opinion.
If you really think that capital punishment is not “cruel and unusual punishment,” then volunteer one of your children to be the executioner.
It’s interesting when Christianity haters try to justify their liberal policies with quotations from the Bible. They don’t understand the Bible, so their justifications invariably fall flat and we’re not shamed into agreeing with them.
A third term of either Bill Clinton or Barack Obama would crush America.
The reason Hillary Clinton has not been charged with anything she’s been accused of is that she has the Democratic National Committee, the media, lawyers and Hollywood protecting her from all us bad people who want to bring her down. They are as crooked as she is.
How great could the Greatest Generation have been, when they gave birth to the Worst Generation?
Do for others. Buy for others. Do it without acclaim. Don’t embarrass them. Do it because it feels great to do for someone else. It is awesome.
