Opinion Line Extra (May 20)

I don’t understand the excitement about public toilets. My kid’s soccer fields have had “every sex” porta-potties for years. One-at-a-time restrooms would take care of everyone.

How are you going to know if a transgender male has been in a ladies’ room unless the seat has been left up? And how are you going to know a transgender female is using a male bathroom if there are stalls to use?

What’s next? Urinals in female bathrooms? This is getting entirely out of hand.

Someone in the Opinion Line sang the praises of Gov. Sam Brownback because newspapers and liberal Democrats hate him. In the same newspaper, a news item stated he’s the least popular governor in the country. The logical conclusion is that most Kansans are liberal Democrats.

As usual, Brownback is totally out of touch with reality. President Obama has the highest approval rating since Reagan. The Obama administration is not the cause of Kansas’ disastrous economy. Brownback should look in the mirror.

Shouldn’t a “teacher” supporting and displaying a “Bernie” sign be fired immediately? No parent in their right mind wants a socialist teaching – i.e., brainwashing and indoctrinating – their children in that societal cancer.

I’m a Ted Cruz guy, and I’m not staying home for the election. But I’m sure as heck not voting for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Why? Thanks for asking. They’re both reprehensible liars. Mickey Mouse has my vote.

Another prominent world figure came to higher office, through his “Return to National Greatness” speeches and hyperbolic dynamic personality, after an unnecessary war and global economic calamity. He too blamed a minority for the country’s troubles. His name was Adolf Hitler. Look what happened to them.

Liberals calling everyone who doesn’t agree with their views “racist,” “-phobes” and “sexist” since the 1960s is getting kind of boring, showing their lack of imagination.

We are so sad to see Cindy Klose retire. She was the most professional female news anchor that Wichita has ever had. Good luck, Cindy. We will miss you.

Dingbats who drive around in the light of day – rain, snow or otherwise – with their lights on don’t demonstrate “good” driving but mindless feel-good stupidity. Worse, they want the rest of us to be as stupid as they are.

My Uber ride from Wrigley Field to Midway Airport took longer that my flight from Chicago to Kansas City. I do not know how people put up with such traffic daily. On a positive note, it was very cool to be at Wrigley Field. Do something fun. Life is short.
