Our Kansas state legislators should adopt the motto: “The Buck Doesn’t Stop Here.”
The Legislature giving Gov. Sam Brownback the ax is akin to handing someone on the Titanic an anvil.
The reported $350,000 spent so far this year by lobbyists to mold minds of Kansas lawmakers is likely only the tip of the iceberg. These delivery boys are sent by organizations that know from experience that tips and gifts (aka bribes) can alter legislation. Business as usual in Topeka.
Less government is the best government.
To those whining on TV about fifth-grade graduation ceremonies being canceled: Fifth-grade children are old enough to learn about disappointments. Worse ones will come. Toughen up and help your children do the same.
For everyone concerned about unreliable voting machines: Join me in requesting a paper ballot in November’s election.
If an honest and true accounting were done of all the associated costs to society, it would be demonstrated that the negatives from Wichita’s downtown bar district far outweigh any perceived positives.
The government made us build a special room for mothers to extract milk. Now we have to build special restrooms for transgenders and dogs. Stop this madness. Can we get some adults running our government, please? And stop wasting our money.
Where was the outcry when unisex bathrooms were introduced? It didn’t seem to be a big deal then, so why is the issue of transgender people such a big deal now? The need to “protect children” is just another smoke screen to cover someone’s bigotry.
Why can’t we just have four bathrooms? Men, women, family and generic.
I hate “diversity.” If you claim to like diversity, then you must be prepared to like my life choice and leave me out of your diversity-loving nonsense – since I don’t share that view. If you discriminate against me, then you are a hypocrite.
At what age do you finally realize that cars with 2 inches of ground clearance with loud tailpipes and car stereos turned up so high you can’t carry on a conversation with the person next to you are not “cool”?
