I am a Democrat and have always respected and voted for Robert Dole. With his endorsement of Donald Trump, I have lost all respect for him.
The support of Bob Dole and Newt Gingrich for Donald Trump against Hillary Clinton should make both George Bushes, Mitt Romney and many former and present GOP leaders slink away in shame. At least let Trump try a different approach. Can’t be any worse.
Tea partiers and Trump voters remind me of those who could be roused into hanging someone without a fair trial. Moderates are the ones who, seeking safety, went home and locked their doors. Moderates: Please come outside on voting day.
First Obama goes to Cuba and gets chummy with the communists. Then he goes to Japan, no doubt to say we are sorry for nuking them after they pulled a sneak attack on the United States and started World War II. What is next? A vacation in North Korea?

If small businessmen say it’s OK if fire departments let their buildings burn and if police ignore their burglar alarms, and if small businessmen’s vehicles never leave their property to drive on my streets, etc., then I’m OK if they don’t pay state income taxes on their pass-through income.
Gov. Sam Brownback has to be one of the best governors the state of Kansas has ever had. How do I know? Every newspaper and tax-and-spend liberal Democrat in the state hates him.
The Legislature left it to Brownback to cut the remaining budget to get it to balance. The first thing that needs to be cut is the per diem that legislators receive – by 30 percent. This will offset the raise they received this year. Allow them to do more with less.
Once again this backwater state had a chance to do something positive with medical marijuana, and it blew it.
I’m contacting my vehicle’s manufacturer. Judging by the number of people who pull out and turn in front of me, the cloaking device must be on and I can’t find the switch to turn it off.
When I watched “Bonanza” as a kid, I thought of Hoss as a rather large man. After recently seeing a rerun, I realized he now looks like a typical American.
