The state Supreme Court can close down the schools in Kansas? Really?
The Republican Kansas legislators are cowards and I intend to vote against every one I can this fall. They whine about the courts taking away the purse strings, and then they hand them over to Brownback rather than make the difficult decisions needed.
Donald Trump going from playboy to president is like a leopard changing his spots to become a tiger. Never going to happen.
Is it too late to discuss how the country handles any conflicts of interest between a president’s business affairs and benefits derived from the presidential office?
If it ends up Trump versus Clinton, remember this: Trump is like an occasional bent fender accident, while Hillary is a total train wreck.
Trump is fast becoming the “Seinfeld” candidate, because his candidacy is about nothing.
So instead of trying to improve schools in disadvantaged areas, the Democrats spend their energy fighting over transgender bathrooms. Another distraction away from substantive issues – just like retraining out-of-work coal miners for nonexistent jobs or Obama going off to Cuba.
If you have jitters about the gender identity of the person in a public restroom stall, try revisiting your mental health professional for treatment and counseling.
Public bathrooms should no longer exist. Everyone should wear Depends. Problem solved.
Hey, kids – don’t let the frothing-at-the-mouth weathermen scare you. I’ve lived in Kansas for 77 years and never seen a tornado. Most spring thunderstorms are just noisy, but kind of neat in their own way.
Why do TV stations keep showing people taking pictures of tornadoes when these people should be in shelters instead of risking injury or death?
The May 9 Wichita Eagle stated that men should stop wearing cargo shorts and throw them away. Never! You can have my cargo shorts when you pry them from my cold, dead body.
I watched part of the Invictus Games. The athletes, many of whom are former military personnel, compete with one or two prosthetics or in wheelchairs. NFL, MLB, NBA – all fine. But I’ve found my role models.
