The United States of America is a republic. That is because the founders were smart enough to know that democracy does not work.
Every time I see a government spokesperson speaking, I wonder how long it will be before the truth comes out. And now we have a 70 percent chance of electing one of the biggest liars ever. That will restore our confidence in government.
I hope everyone had a nice Cinco de Mayo, because if Donald Trump gets elected there won’t be one next year.
Note to Donald: We know when someone is naturally presidential. You’re not.
Donald Trump will likely win the votes of the tattoo and body piercing crowd to become our first president with orange hair.
I was a Republican for years. I became unaffiliated with any party, because Republicans just weren’t doing anything to make positive changes. I will support Donald Trump. Paul Ryan won’t say if he supports him or not. Sad.
Donald Trump, supposed mogul. Donald Trump, “you’re fired” reality star. Donald Trump, not much else. Nationwide and especially in the case of Kansas’ governor and Legislature, Republicans have a difficult time facing reality. In Trump they’re sure getting a heavy load of reality now.
Ted Cruz is smarter than we thought. Since he needed someone to fire his entire campaign staff, he picked the perfect No. 2 person: Carly Fiorina.
If Hillary Clinton beats Donald Trump in November, it will be because clueless RINOs chose a criminal liar over the only hope this country has at this time. A vote for Hillary keeps the country headed for the tragic end that you people deserve.
If John or Jane Doe had committed the crimes Hillary Clinton has, would they still be running free and unprosecuted? If she isn’t tried and found guilty of her crimes, then everyone else will know there is no law and you can do whatever you want without consequences.
Ask not what you can do for yourself but ask what the government can do for you.
Contrary to a recent comment, many states governed by Democrats are doing much better than Kansas. The main difference is Democrats are willing to pay their fair share of taxes to provide adequate services for their citizens, without whining incessantly about money spent to help the less fortunate.
Kansas taxpayers are not asking for a “cheap” education system, as a letter writer suggested (May 6 Letters to the Editor). They are asking for an effective one.
