It seems a shame that there are no displays honoring the life of Ike at Eisenhower National Airport. If we are proud enough to claim the use of his name, we should help tell his story to those passing through the airport.


Why do we spend millions of dollars in facilities, contracts, salaries, curriculum, materials and insurance, but save a few thousand dollars to shorten the school year and cut our students’ learning time?


It would be a good idea for Secretary of State Kris Kobach to spend his time educating Kansas voters on the voting rules instead of hiding in the bushes waiting to pounce on them.


All you folks in Kansas who supported Ted Cruz in the Kansas caucuses: How’s that working out for you?


It appears my decision in the voting booth for president will be based upon which candidate makes my eyes water the least as I hold my nose and make a selection.


People are not as much pro-Trump as they are “anti-” the broken, corrupt political system we have now. Trump has become the vote of disgust.


I personally think that a very successful businessman will always make a better president than a semi-successful community organizer.


If you think Donald Trump is any more savvy than Hillary Clinton about how to store e-mails, you should go ahead and vote for him. Trump’s idea of a “server” is a cocktail waitress.


Before, we elected Republicans to do the billionaires’ bidding. With Trump, we cut out the middleman.


If you think your electric rates are high now, wait until Clinton shuts down the coal plants.


Kansas will vote for Trump. The same people who surprised me by voting for the disastrous Sam Brownback because of his “R” will vote for Trump for the same reason. It will happen.


In November, voters will have a choice as to whether they want the same legislators passing the buck to Brownback in 2017.


There is a difference between raising taxes on business owners and restoring the taxes they have avoided for the past three years.


Why shouldn’t Brownback blame Obama and commodity prices for the failure of his business tax cuts to juice the Kansas economy? Obama still blames Bush for the crummy economy seven years in.


If people working full-time jobs still need food stamps to get by, they are not the ones leeching off the government. Their employers are.


To the Henderson sisters (May 1 Insight): You are the brave warriors for those who cannot speak for themselves. I am so happy you have found those who really love you, and know how to value your journey. I am praying for healing peace for all of you.
