Opinion Line Extra (April 30)

All of the Republican presidential candidates say cutting taxes for business creates jobs. Kansas is proof that this is not true, and all that it accomplishes is that the rich get richer.

Shutting out Bernie Sanders and ushering in the Clintons is the equivalent of recycling Sam Brownback on a national level. Nonetheless, the bright side is that the Koch brothers can resume operations as normal.

The fact is, Bernie is a fraud. His effective tax rate in 2014 was 13.5 percent. But yet he’s pointing his bony, sticky, greasy politician finger at the hardworking American and saying “You need to pay more” when, by golly, we already are. Lot’s more.

Regarding Ted Cruz’s vice presidential pick: I always thought when your ship is taking on water, one bails water out, not in.

It is totally un-American for Cruz and Kasich to team up against Trump. If I did this in business practice, I would be investigated for collusion.

If I voted for Bush even once, I don’t have any right to criticize Obama? That is hilarious. The way I see it, if you voted for Obama, even once, you should be exiled to a communist country.

This country must be in pretty good shape if the biggest thing we have to argue about is where a man who puts on a dress gets to go to the bathroom.

There is a red one who won’t accept the blue one for living with the gay one trying to live like anyone. Different strokes for different folks. We got to live together.

I follow the news regularly. I have not seen one story, ever, of a transgender going into a bathroom or locker room to observe women using the facilities or dressing. Transgender people have been around for some time. That is not their motivation. Move on.

While reading the news, it occurs to me that I have never met a transgender person. I’m not really sure what the term means.

Which restroom should Dennis Hastert use?

Schools need businesspeople’s input. Every year when our health insurance went up at the bank, we didn’t like to do it but we had to pass some of the increase to employees and employers. I hope that if everyone does this, the public will get involved.

Anyone caught driving with their wipers on but not their headlights, as required by law, or the parking lights only should be yanked off the street and their driving privileges permanently revoked because they’re too stupid to be driving.
