Thank you, North Carolina. You can wear the title of “stupidest state” for a while. Here in Kansas we’re tired of it.

The argument over transgender bathrooms will be won when enough men stand up and defend the sanctity of their own wives and daughters.

Thank you, Gov. Sam Brownback, for the blight veto. Blight is a smoke screen that greedy developers use to grab your land for their profit. It violates the 10th Commandment of God: “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house.” Read this in the Bible.

It seems that Brownback wants Kansas to keep mental health care unchanged from 1866, when the state first took responsibility to help those unfortunate citizens.

I can’t believe that people in this state not only voted Brownback in a second term to totally bankrupt Kansas, but would actually vote for Donald Trump also. Lord have mercy.

There was a good article in the Sunday Eagle about how invasive red cedars have made wildfires worse. Global warming is another factor that should be considered. Because of it, Kansas will see more severe and sustained droughts, leading to a greater risk of wildfires.

Four school days a week? Are you kidding me? We will truly be the dumbest nation in the world.

The main problem with schools is the new system of teaching – no books, not giving back tests, etc. Kids can’t sign their names because they do not have writing as a lesson. They have miraculous computers and can’t count out change. Perhaps it is time to rethink all this.

USD 259 is discriminating against me, an English-speaking American citizen, by allowing North High School to post the Spanish language on the activity sign in front.

Instead of a tiny-home neighborhood for the homeless (April 18 Eagle), how about tiny condos in a building with shared infrastructure, heating, cooling and community building maintenance for a fraction of the cost?

When will companies learn that phone calls that show “unavailable” or “private” on caller ID will not be answered? Any company that wants a phone answered should identify itself.

Regulators should require that phone books be distributed to everyone over 70 years old. How else are they going to find phone numbers and the local Buick dealership?
