Students are pushing for free college because that’s the biggest expense they face. After college they’ll want free cars, free houses and free nursing homes.

I don’t deny that Ted Cruz is an American citizen. But by the same standard, via the nearly 3 million U.S. troops who served in Vietnam, I would guess that 10 percent of the population there are American citizens.

Donald Trump reminds me of that ding-dong in your pickup basketball game who cries “Foul!” whenever you block his shot or steal the ball from him or he throws up a brick.

When was the last time you saw someone’s junk in a public restroom? Never? Me neither.

Once again this week County Commissioners Richard Ranzau, Karl Peterjohn and Jim Howell spent almost one-fourth of their meeting bashing the media, muttering about this day in history and making partisan speeches. I have a question: Is this one-fourth of the value we get from Sedgwick County?

When is the Kansas Star Casino going to wake up to the fact that it is not only running people away from its casino but running them to the casinos in Oklahoma? It has set its machines so tight that in no time I’m broke.

If I gave $19 a month to every money-mooching charity on TV, I’d be a charity case.
