Mennonite Housing changing neighborhoods, lives
Congratulations to Mennonite Housing on the completion of its French Quarter housing project. The attractive new duplexes near 15th and Kansas are helping transform a neighborhood that has suffered in recent years from blight and high crime. Mennonite Housing completed the first phase of the $14 million project in 2013, and it completed a similar redevelopment project at Ninth and Madison in 2009. Habitat for Humanity is also building new houses on vacant lots in a blighted neighborhood in northeast Wichita. The projects are not only changing neighborhoods; they are changing lives. – Phillip Brownlee
