Does anyone else find it ironic that the pope’s Easter message chastised the world for being wary of Syrian refugees, but those wanting to get into St. Peter’s Square to hear it had to endure long lines of security screening and metal detectors?
The American people seem to understand the importance of securing our borders and controlling the type and number of immigrants. Obama and the Democratic candidates do not. The immigration problems in Europe will be repeated here unless we act responsibly.
The Republican primary fiasco will nominate one of two horrible candidates, and ignorant American outrage over Hillary Clinton’s e-mails and Benghazi will sink her. Who is left standing? Bernie Sanders, the people’s candidate, the honest candidate.
Campaign season rhetoric makes me wish there were such a thing as Preparation H for the ears.
Has anyone in the Legislature considered asking the numerous economists in the regents’ six state universities what they think of the governor’s income tax plan?
Even the mental pygmies in our Legislature will respond if they think their harmful actions or inactions are being noticed. Such is the case with the school funding equalization bill. They actually figured out that if schools closed, they might be in big trouble in November.
I called for Sen. Jerry Moran to do his constitutional job and vote up or down on the Supreme Court nominee. I’ll give him credit for going against the conservative stream to take the flak and advocate doing what’s right. And it’s even an election year for him.
It was in the cards for the Kansas Jayhawks to lose after Obama picked them to win. After all, his past shows he does not know how to pick anyone.
The difference between KU and Villanova? The Villanova team had much better actors with their false fouls.
I wonder if they store the KU bandwagon the same place as the Riverfest windwagon. They only need to get both out once a year.
Now that the basketball season is finished for KU and WSU, the local media need to follow these players to class and report on their grades and attendance. They are supposed to be student athletes.
